Notes From the Load Centre

The Centennial EV Charging Journal

Notes from inside the load centre: what panel capacity actually means, how permits work here, and why a charger behaves differently in a January garage.

Why This Exists

Written by the People Who Have to Make It Work

Most EV charging advice online is written by people selling the hardware. This is written by the people who have to make it work on your service. Expect plain explanations of load calculations, conductor and breaker sizing, permit and inspection steps in Arapahoe County, cold-weather charging behaviour, and the failure patterns we see most often in Centennial garages. No affiliate lists, no fake urgency, no specifications copied off a box.

Reading Is Fine. Measuring Is Better.

An article can tell you what a load calculation is. It cannot tell you what your panel has left. The free panel read does that in about twenty minutes, in person, with the dead front off.
